Jane Goodall has held positions in Arts and Cultural History at a range of Universities, including Western Sydney University, where she was Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She has an extensive range of academic publications and her most recent book is The Politics of the Common Good (NewSouth 2019). She writes regularly for Inside Story and has published essays on the economic and cultural environment in Australian Book Review, The Conversation, Griffith Review and The Canberra times.

She is convenor of the Basic Income Hub for New Economy Network Australia.
